How It All Started

My Travelations started the way most good things do — with a trip that changed everything. A solo drive through the American Southwest, a notebook full of scribbled directions, and the realization that the best travel advice doesn't come from glossy magazines. It comes from people who've actually been there.

What began as a personal journal of national park visits and European adventures slowly became something more. Friends started asking for recommendations. Strangers on trails wanted to know which campsite we'd stayed at. The notes turned into guides, the guides turned into pages, and the pages turned into this site.

My Travelations is built on the belief that travel should feel accessible — not overwhelming. Whether you're planning your first national park road trip or your fifth European summer, the goal is the same: give you the honest, practical information you need to make the most of every trip.

What We're About

Real destinations. Real experiences. No fluff.

Honest Reviews

We only write about places we've actually visited. No sponsored puff pieces, no recycled press releases — just firsthand accounts of what it's really like.

Practical Advice

Beautiful photography is great, but you also need to know where to park, when to arrive, and what to pack. We cover both.

Accessible Adventure

Travel doesn't have to be expensive or complicated. We believe the best experiences are often the simplest ones — and we'll show you how to find them.

Leave It Better

We're committed to responsible travel. That means Leave No Trace principles, supporting local businesses, and being honest about the impact of tourism.
